Biography

Machteld van Dijk Broberg has been representing the interests of the province of North-Brabant in Brussels since November 2019. Together with colleague Lieke van Alphen, she is responsible for maintaining the relations of the province of North-Brabant with the EU institutions and she signals EU-related opportunities.

Prior to her position at the province of North-Brabant, Machteld worked at the consultancy firm European and Regional Affairs Consultants (ERAC) as an EU Affairs adviser. In that position, she advised organizations in the field of European policy advocacy and European funding programmes. Machteld’s academic background consists of a Master in International Relations – European Integration at the University of Groningen and a Bachelor of North American Studies at the University of Groningen.

Machteld has the priorities of digitalisation, agrifood and a sustainable and healthy environment in her portfolio.
