Regional Energy Innovations

On Tuesday 11 October from 14:30 – 16:00, Th!nk East Netherlands will organise the workshop Regional energy innovations reinforcing the EU’s strategic autonomy”  as part of the official programme of the #EURegionsWeek 2022. The East Netherlands region will present its regional innovative energy solutions that can play a key role in the EU’s strategic autonomy. We kindly invite you to join the workshop and participate in the debate on regional energy solutions.

There will be keynote speeches by Catharina Sikow-Magny (Director for the Green Transition and Energy System Integration, DG ENER, European Commission) and Jorgo Chatzimarkakis (CEO Hydrogen Europe). Also, regional representatives Eddy van Hijum (Province of Overijssel), Jan van der Meer (Province of Gelderland), and Wendy de Jong (Regional development agency Eastern Netherlands) will be speaking.

#EURegionsWeek

In 2022, the 20th edition of the #EURegionsWeek will take place from October 10-13. The week is especially devoted to European regions and regional policy. During this week, representatives of regions and cities from all over Europe will gather in Brussels, including politicians, administrators, experts and academics. Four themes are central this year: the green transition, territorial cohesion, the digital transition and the empowerment of young people. During this week, partners can organize events and answer the question: how can we as regions contribute to these major issues? More events during this week can be found on the official website.
